TPI was started in 2020 by Reece Iovine, a previous real estate agent, and avid real estate investor.
Through Reece’s experience as an agent as well as construction experience completing rental renovations, he saw flaws ready to be improved in the home inspection industry.
Today TPI is a 3-person team overwhelmed by the demand for their services and in need of an experienced inspector to help TPI grow into the next level.
TPI currently serves the central and northeast Ohio markets and is looking to grow the team’s capabilities in both markets, starting with central Ohio.
Job Description
TPI is looking for a lead Columbus-based home inspector to service Columbus and the surrounding central Ohio areas.
Such an applicant should be willing and able to conduct inspections of the highest quality on any property from multi-family investment property to new construction and first-time home buyers.
Some of our inspections are challenging – the inspector needs to be self-motivated and have grit in these situations and always work with a smile.
This position will also train associate inspectors, proofread reports of associate inspectors, and take client calls regarding questions on their own or other inspector reports.
Job Requirements
- Must have and maintain a reasonable vehicle capable of holding a 6-foot ladder.
- Must have an android or iPhone which is capable of running the Spectora software.
- Must be willing and able to work weekdays between 8-5 pm and the occasional weekend.
- The job is commission with guaranteed minimum pay, the more your work the more you make.
- Certified professional inspector through InterNACHI. You may obtain this while working with us.
- Must be a people person willing and able to communicate effectively with clients.
- Must be locally based in Columbus Ohio and willing to drive up to 1.5 hours in any direction for an inspection (Will be additionally compensated for any round trip over 1.5 hours)
- Must successfully pass a 1-3 month training period. Most training will be 1 month. If not satisfactory after 3 months we will go our separate ways. Pay is to be hourly during the training period.
Job Benefits – After 1-3 month training period
- Compensation (Annual Compensation Target Based On Experience: $50-70K)
- Guaranteed Pay
- Guaranteed bi-weekly pay.
- Commission Based Pay
- 30-35% of the inspection fee if working alone. 20-25% of the inspection fee if working with an assistant. (Based on qualifications)
- For very large inspections with 3+ inspectors, the inspector will be paid a percentage TBD not less than their average hourly wage.
- Referral Commissions
- Bring us an inspection or agent relationship? We will pay you an additional 10% of every inspection from that client or agent.

- Eligible for fixed fee health insurance reimbursement after 3 month trial period.
- Company Paid Education and Tools
- Any CE or other education that benefits the company will be paid for by the company.
- Any inspection tools will be paid for by the company, not including phone and vehicle which are a requirement of the job.
